This play is based on a book written by Jayanth Kaikini. His short stories and views and columns on cinema have been piled up and published into an exquisite collection in the name of ‘Touring Talkies'(book) and the play is also based on the writers college life, especially the incidents of his Cinema craze and the fascination towards ‘Touring Talkies’ in the 70’s. It also reflects the tragic conquering of these single screen theatres by multiplexes and online media that deeply concerns the writer. The play completed 6 successful shows across the state.
